"Sladies and gentlemen,
June 11th sees the UK release of what will be the final Slade reissues on
Salvo for the time being.
The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome, Rogues Gallery and You Boyz Make Big Noize
(all with bonus tracks) round off the studio albums and are joined by a
2CD set, The Collection 79-87, which brings together the two compilations
first issued by BMG in the early 1990s.
Unfortunately, due to a stupid error by me, the bonus tracks on the
initial pressing runs of Rogues Gallery and You Boyz make Big Noize are
not in sequence outlined on the packaging - although they are all there.
This should only affect the first batches of each release, but please
accept my apologies on behalf of Union Square Music.
Aside from that, the music is beautifully remastered by Tim Turan, each
comes with a series of excellent photos and informative notes by Chris
Ingham, and
advance orders are now being taken at Play.com, Amazon.co.uk, Tesco.com
and other outlets.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all wholeheartedly for your
interest in our Slade reissue programme. It has been a real pleasure
working with such a fine canon of music and it is due to your support that
Salvo has been able to make a flying start.
The next releases on Salvo will be by another two great British groups -
Procol Harum and The Move.
