Slade II at Robin II at Bilston at their roots in Wolverhampton 28.11.2006. Express and Star review by Andy Rea 29.11.2006: "Even without Noddy Holder Slade?s latest incarnation raised the roof in Bilston for their 40th anniversary homecoming concert - and what a show-stopper it was. ... The encores were two of Slade?s biggest successes, Cum on Feel the Noize and, of course, Merry Christmas Everybody. One epitomises the group?s roaring rock sound of the 1970s that made them superstars and the other is arguably the most famous Christmas song ever written. ... Shaun Burton, Robin 2 duty manager, said it was a fantastic atmosphere and everybody loved having Slade back. They were great as always and they were met by an excellent audience, he said." http://www.expressandstar.co.uk/2006/11/29/my-oh-my-slade-back-at-roots/ K.O.R. - Ilpo Greetings from Slade to RMN Radio : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGagB9J2NUk SLADE II with Dave Glover & Steve Whalley together with Trevor Holliday & Steve Whalley Steve Makin, Graig Fenney, Dave Hill, Don Powell and Steve Whalley Don, Dave, Steve and Steve Makin and Craig Fenney Merry Xmas 1994 with Trevor Holliday and Steve Makin 2001 - Millennium tour with Trevor Holliday 1999 Xmas SLADE II with Trevor Holliday Thumbs 1999 - Trevor Holliday, Dave Hill, Don Powell, Steve Whalley This is the official message and statement from Steve: Hi Friends and Fans - STEVE here!

LEN TUCKEY Steve Whalley 30.04.2004 in Frankenthal Thank you very much Steve for all these years... ... for keeping the spirit of Slade music and attitude alive with Slade II from the late 1992 to summer of 2005 !
Steve was singer and guitarist for Slade II from the first gig at Uumaja Sweden 1992 till Saturday 25th June 2005 showing great showmanship on stage.
Having seen him with Slade II alive all over Europe for about 25 times it feels very sad to say Gudbuy T' Steve, though during the last year(s) it could be slightly sensed that he didn't enjoy being on stage as much as earlier.
Waiting eagerly to hear more about the reasons for his departure, even though it can well be that the management won't reveal all that's behind Steve quitting with the band.
I suppose that Steve himself prefers working more in the direction of blues. Hope to hear soon about his future plans as well as the new singer of Slade II that I believe to be announced very soon.
